I remember an article that I posted a few months back on how much the Air Force spends on simple things like a coffee cup for its pilots and it blew my mind on how frivolous the spending goes. Someone pointed out that there were many cases like that and it all had to do with connections and corruption. That's true for all branches. Even simple things like parts for helos are nuts.
