Do you really need the petty power of what updates your system does or does not do?

in the case of the windows 10 1809 update that released a few months ago and caused people to lose their files... yes and i dont understand how you consider that "petty"

I have not seen nor heard of any update for windows 10 professionally or personally that has caused issues like you are imagining.

maybe because you live under a fucking rock

Yeah totally.

My bad bro. We should never update anything because something bad happened once.

Computers can die and HDDs get corrupted. The world is an imperfect place.

On the whole having things updated is a good thing.

If I gave you the plague in a nice package called "All things Good" would you open it?
