But people will just blame the Republicans because this partisanship was mainly started by a few Republican Congressmen. They don't realize that Democrats in Congress are actively taking part in it on the Congressional level, and don't stop to think that they themselves are taking part in it. If someone repeatedly punches you in the face after you spend 2 decades of telling them to stop, eventually you'd get fed up and start swinging back too.
