They sure as hell didn't in my family. That is disconcerting. I regret to hear that such negativity was conveyed in Jesus's name. That's the name of the game in Christianity. Believe what I believe and live as I tell you to live or you will rot burn and suffer in eternal hellfire. Ah, but for those who interpret the scriptures that way, it isn't a matter of their own desires. Rather, it is what they believe the Lord demands that they communicate, and they spread such a message through the Great Commission.
