In my mind physical violence is like mutually assured destruction with nuclear bombs. Once someone decides to use a nuke, all bets are off. You can do anything you want to the point before assaulting someone, once you assault or hit someone, you turn the confrontation into a violent, physical one.

And for fuck's sake, if I did decide to hit someone, I wouldn't sucker punch them, that's a pussy move.
