The idea of getting credit for social reliability might be a good thing.


That, in itself is fine. The problem is punishing people for 'bad' behavior creates an Orwellian nightmare.


From how I've heard it described, its arguably worse. It preys on that dopamine hit people get from being rewarded for actions. When they signal boost government propaganda, their social score goes up and the citizens treat it like a game. So, it doesnt just discourage them from being disagreeable, it manipulates them into being state puppets.
