What is the tough dog pecking order?

Can a Rottweiler take out a pitbull? Why are Dobermans so renowned if it looks like they are much smaller than a Rottweiler?

I think the pecking order goes like this:

- Rottweiler
- pit bull
- Doberman
- German Shepherd

Thoughts? I was not sure where to fit the corso. What about malamutes?

NOTE: THis is all fun, theoretical talk, like could Ryu beat Ken? Or would a bear beat a tiger? I would hate to see any dog fight, I have a soft spot for dogs and I like dogs more than I like most people.

My family had a Doberman, it was very docile with us but protective where complete strangers and wild animals were concerned. It fought off a black bear without taking a scratch. Honestly based on experience with her I'd say a Doberman is the dog I'd least want to be in a fight with.

You had a hero dog :)

So the bear got scared and ran away?

Sort of. My dog was under it and attacking its belly, and I guess the bear couldn't get to it so it ran. It came back later in the night and destroyed part of our porch though because bears are jerks. It had been trying to get into the house but it never tried that again.
