In college, I practiced saying the alphabet backwards until I could do so as fast as I can do it forwards, always joked that if I got pulled over and asked to recite the alphabet, not only would I be able to do it forwards, I would be able to do it backwards. A year after I graduated, I was pulled over for not having my lights on at night (was a new car, previous one was a Subaru and lights would go on/off automatically), just so happened I had had less than a glass of wine earlier, so the cop asks me to recite the alphabet, and it was everything I could do not to recite it backwards. I said it forwards, but I always wonder what he would have done had I actually gone through with it.
