| Topic | I don't understand people who are against Hulu because of ads. |

Fair or not, Netflix, the top dog of TV streaming, set the president that your subscription entitles you to an ad-free experience. Amazon Prime reinforced the idea. When Hulu started a pay-service people assumed it would also be ad-free, and it wasn't. Because it wasn't following the industry norm, it causes people to think of it as a lesser product, despite it's wealth of content. At the same time, people are going to shy away from the higher-priced offerings because people are cheap. If Hulu would have just come out with only the ad-free service, people would have no issue with it, despite its higher price point.
