How many times do you go to the theater to see a movie every year? 40+ times How often do you watch movies made before 1970? Pretty sure I've seen at least 100 pre-70 movies this year How often do you watch non-English language films? Pretty sure I've watched close to 70 non-English movies this year How often do you watch movies with a female lead? probably pretty close to 50% Did you like The Last Jedi? obviously Are you a subscriber to the auteur theory? yes Do you have a favorite movie genre or least favorite movie genre? no because genres are by and large stupid Is television better than movies these days? absolutely not Is your favorite director one of Chris Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, Stanley Kubrick, Quentin Tarantino, or David Fincher? no Do you differentiate between best movie and favorite movies? no What are your five favorite movies? i can never decide so instead i'll name what are probably my five favorite movies i've seen this year: Buffalo '66, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Mission: Impossible - Fallout, Bringing Up Baby, Tampopo --- ...
