Weve now repaid taxpayers every dime and more of what my administration committed. In the spirit of intellectual honesty, the auto bailout was a net loss to the US government, its losses mostly covered by gains from the bailouts of financial firms. But characterization of the bailouts as a handout really is not accurate.
