Back then they taught it's fine to be gay and it's not a choice. But it wasn't okay to act on it...basically banging a dude is a temptation that gay guys would have to resist. I had a friend who came out senior year in Catholic high school. Reactions were mixed and people were shocked at first. But overall most everyone came around and accepted him. It probably helped that he was a likable guy in the first place. --- I am the Cheese! I am the best character on the show! I am better than both the salami and the bologna COMBINED! ...
