I was diagnosed 13 years ago and it has deeply affected my life. Due to my BPD I often make efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment, such as rapidly initiating intimate relationships or cutting off communication with someone in anticipation of being abandoned. I have intense and unstable relationships with my family, friends, and loved ones, often swinging from extreme closeness and love to extreme dislike or anger. I've engaged in impulsive and often dangerous behaviors, such as spending sprees, unsafe sex, substance abuse, reckless driving, and binge eating. Not to mention plenty of self-harming behavior, such as cutting, recurring thoughts of suicidal behavior, intense and highly changeable moods, with each episode lasting from a few hours to a few days, and chronic feelings of emptiness. Nowadays I think it isn't as bad as it used to be, but it's still a constant uphill battle.

Sounds about right.

goggalor did. bpd sufferers are fundamentally broken people and they can experience no real joy. they only ruin the lives of those around them

Lol also accurate.

Yeah that does sound awful but thinking about it I experience several of those regularly

I think I need to go talk to a psychologist soon, I'm not certain I have BPD but I don't think my old diagnosis of depression and general anxiety is completely accurate

You dont come off as someone with BPD. Bipolar is a common misdiagnosis fwiw.
