My dads an alcoholic, as well as other family members, and its made it to where I cant stand the stuff. Yeah. Ive always been surrounded by alcholics. Until I realized I can pick who Im around as an adult lol Yeah, getting some distance from them is a breath of fresh air. I'm the same about cigarettes. Both of my parents and most of my relatives smoke. They never did it in my vicinity when I was a kid and I was never affected by it, but it's just something that I grew to hate. A lot of my friends smoke these days, but I never even tried. Never wanted to. Cigarettes disgust me. I can even understand drugs, but there's literally no positive side to cigarettes. They calm your nerves down? Well, if you didn't smoke, you wouldn't need them to calm down. Other addictive substances at least make you feel better for a short while and I understand why people can't resist the urge. But cigarettes are just terrible.
