Getting hit by a car is not a natural cause of death. I was talking purely about natural death, not accidents.

My point was you can be as healthy as you want but nothing in life is a guarantee. Some folk spend all their life trying to be as healthy as possible to have a "better quality of life" yet still end up dead at a young age through illnesses or the like. Even with dying of old age the healthy person might not live longer.

Of course nothing in life is a guarantee. The only guarantee is that death is inevitable. The point is that if you take care of your body and be healthy, then the odds of having a higher quality of life is significantly higher than if you are unhealthy.

For example, a healthy person may have an 80% chance of living to 90 with no health problems. An unhealthy person may have a 30% chance of living to 90, and if he does live to 90, then he may have a 60% chance of having a lot of health problems on the way.

It's all about the odds....
