On Monday, the recount process was further roiled by the revelation that voters in Bay County, which was hit by Hurricane Michael, had been allowed to submit ballots by email, in apparent violation of state law
Bay County went to Scott by *checks notes* 47 points. Now, according to the Bay County Supervisor of Elections we're only talking about 147 votes here but that it happened at all is alarming.
This would be hilarious if it weren't so pathetically sad and distressing
The Republicans love screaming about tiny-scale voter fraud and pretending it's massive scale to distract from their usual tactics that could colloquially (If not legally) be considered election fraud.
Hopefully with something like this coming to light, we can do something about it that's not just "Republicans do something stupid (e.g gerrymandering) -> file a lawsuit -> lawsuit gets stalled and stuck in the courts by the GOP's lawyers until it's too late to affect the current election -> Republicans loop right back around to step 1 in preparation for the next election"
