I'm a sucker for 20th Century New Orleans. It's charming, witty and just a classic in my book. The songs aren't anything special but the animation, characters, story and acting is on point.
Other than Facilier, the characters were mostly bland. The story was generally dull. The music -- usually the hallmark of any Disney film -- really wasn't there except for "Friends on the Other Side." I will give you that the animation looked pretty good, although some of the animal character designs didn't do it for me. It was disappointing since I liked the setting.
As for the acting, the chick who played Tiana always struck me as sounding way too subdued. There would be climatic moments where her voice sounded like she just finished taking some Valium before acting.
