67. Joey & Tim (Amazing Race 30, 8th place)
Okay so starting with Laurel we are officially done with the people that I outright hated and onto the people that annoyed me to some degree but I wouldnt say I hated. The moderate dislike before the sea of meh-ness thats coming soon. So yeah, I didn't hate any of the teams in TAR30. This was one of the best casts in a long time. But if there was one team that rubbed me the wrong way a bit, it was Joey & Tim. They came on the show as competitive hot dog eaters. Cool. But then they just kept saying it over and over again. Everything they did was like "this is like eating hot dogs!" and it got annoying. Its like, we get it already, Joey Chestnut loves shoving hot dogs in his mouth, shut up! I also don't really know how being a competitive hot dog eater is going to help you on the race, except in the like average one eating challenge they do per season. Seems like it would hurt you by making you a fat, lethargic, and easily hungry. Luckily they were gone by episode 5 so we didnt have to hear about it for all that long. Other than that they werent anything special anyway. Just this run-of-the-mill early-boot M/M team (in TAR I consider the early-boot cut-off to be whichever comes first of 8th place or episode 5, usually they are one in the same) that kinda floated around the middle of the pack and was never really going to do much in terms of affecting the season or entertainment.

49. Joey & Tim (The Amazing Race 30, 8th Place)

Its hard for me to keep this write-up unique because everything I say about Joey & Tim can pretty much be applied to Trevor & Chris, who I rank just one spot lower. Both were MM teams that were middle-of-the-pack for much of their time on the season, and then had some major screw-ups towards the end that got them booted. For the most part, Joey & Tim seemed like nice guys, and I enjoyed the dynamic of Tim having a smile on his face while he secretly boiled with rage at how incompetent Joey could be. Unfortunately, the story never really revolved around them, and a different team did that same storyline much, much better this season. So yeah, they wind up middle-of-the-road on my list as well.
