I heard that once back in 98/99 and goodness has it been that long? Anyways, no, you don't need the Hover Boots at all for even reaching Spirit Temple. I vaguely recall using them to reach some dude on a floating carpet, but not really needing anything from that guy, or even to reach him. If you have the Hook shot or Longshot, I think the latter, you just look out for the next wooden pole and latch over to it, skipping the floating carpet guy. Then the next, and so on, until you reach the stone structure, and are left with needing to use your Lens of Truth to follow a Poe to the oasis where Spirit Temple is located. --- ...
