Trust? No, but I'll get in them without a problem. I drive in Chicagoland, I already have plenty of reasons to not trust human drivers.
Imagine how sophisticated the self driving tech would need to be to drive in downtown Chicago after a snow storm like last years. Are they going to have self driving plowers?
I can't begin to explain how bad parking is in the winter here in Chicago, I've really no idea what a self driving car would do in that case.
Then there's things like emergencies. They're trying to get rid of car ownership and make transportation like ridesharing. Most people won't own cars in 20 years, which is about the avg lifespan of a car.
