What would you like to know?

Just how to get started, really. Looks like it goes... take courses at a technical or community college (would an employer care about which?), then you apprentice for someone (do you just call an electrician and be like 'Yo, teach me, senpai'?) and learn and get your hours in until you become a journeyman. Is that right? Not right? Things I should watch out for?

Honestly, I went through the union. You pay your books, class once a week. You'll start on the job as well. 5 year apprenticeship, my state allows journeyman testing at 8000 hours so you could take it in 4 years.

You only pay for your books, no tuition and the pay and benefits are quite good. The apprenticeship training qualifies for academic credits as well.

I could answer in better details if you'd like on the tradesman board in my sig so I don't clog up this thread, or feel free to pm
