The subs have no rhythm or rhyme either. Lyrics and wordplay are a HUGE part of rap, so keeping it in Japanese, I lose a lot there. Then we have the issue of, suddenly everything is in Japanese and everyone suddenly has a different voice. This is jarring as fuck, and I hate it everytime a dub does it. And you can't immediately assume it'll be bad. That's bullshit. So yes. I would absolutely want them to rewrite the Rap Battle in English. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
