I take it the fan reaction to Diablo: Immortal was not as hyped as Blizz hoped it would be.

I almost feel bad for those guys but not really. They were completely taken off guard by the reaction which shows how out of touch with their fanbase they really are.

They also chastise the audience for their less than favorable reaction

You don't like this? Well, that's because you're stupid and forgot you all have phones!

That's what makes me sad. Phone games could have been something awesome but they just went the route of easy cash grabs and predatory business.

Phone games can't be something awesome, and that isn't the fault of mobility or even the phone companies themselves, its based on the technology we have readily available. Battery life for games like that is maybe 4 hours at most? I doubt it will even last that long. And if your phone isn't dying out, then its overheating for overuse.

Its the same thing that people have been complaining about for years with Laptops. Laptops are only now starting to be able to play modern games without all the problems they used to have, but even they aren't prone to hot keyboards, or overheating in general.

When they find a way to build electronics that can last over 20 hours without feeling like a furnace is melting your fingers only THEN will games like this be viable.

What's worse is that if they had released it on PC and then ported it to mobile people wouldn't be complaining at all. It was like this for C&C back at E3. They had to announce a remaster of C&C just to quell the rage that was coming their way.
