If Republicans want to end abortion, why didn't George Bush do it?

If Democrats want to ban assault rifles, why didn't Obama do it?

If Democrats want legalized marijuana, why didn't Clinton do it?

Because all of these things require legislation, i.e. Congress, to do. The President could not do any of them unilaterally. The President can move an embassy unilaterally; he does not need Congressional approval to do so.

So let's try yet again. If moving the embassy to Jerusalem enjoyed such wide bipartisan support, why was it not done already?

The Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995[1] is a public law of the United States passed by the post-Republican Revolution 104th Congress on October 23, 1995. The proposed law was adopted by the Senate (935),[2] and the House (37437).[3] The Act became law without a presidential signature on November 8, 1995.

Bipartisan.

Both Clinton and Bush campaigned on moving it.

Now hush.

I feel like I am seriously just talking to people who have no interest in actually reading or making valid points. And, instead, just dig into the echo chamber looking for support instead of being able to just admit when they are wrong.
