The truth is probably somewhere in between. They whiners are more hyperbolic than anyone else. Like I said, it's probably in the middle. Realistically, the people praising it can also be ridiculous. People who haven't even played it are rating it 10/10 on principle. Horse balls and rusty guns were literally top headlines in game review circuits.
