It's pretty strongly implied by the fact that it's a question in the first place that he's talking about recent releases, since it's not remotely difficult to find unused copies of older games on sale, and the Best Buy and Amazon programs he's talking about are specifically for new releases. If nothing else, games that drop in price that quickly tend to be games that haven't done very well, for whatever reason. I was too smart to fall for those programs. So without those your best bet is to wait it out. Sometimes the obvious answers get overlooked. Not really. A couple months is the average for non-Nin games. I mean I'm expecting a good price next month for Tomb Raider and Spiderman. May be too soon for RDR2, Soulcal 6, or AC Odyssey.
