XIII_rocks 10/27/18 2:45:34 PM #16:	Any fanbase where a thing 1) Is popular with "nerds" (mostly scifi stuff or videogames) 2) Has multiple instalments and long wait times between instalments, which also leads to point 3 3) Has a very active, busy online community allowing people to get bedded into discussion about it, and take up hard stances about it through stubborn arguing that they wouldn't have given a shit about had they not been lured into an internet argument Optional 4) Is nostalgic This explains Smash, Mass Effect, Star Wars, Rick and Morty, even Game of Thrones.
