So if you have a Meltan in LGPE it won't be able to ever evolve since you can't send it to the only game where it can evolve. Well, you can't actually catch it in LGPE, can you? No, but you can transfer it from GO to LGPE, and then use it in battle, and in fact all of the trailers encourage you to do so.
