With Funimation stuff leaving Crunchyroll soon, leaving a huge amount of choices and a limited amount of time, I decided to start with a random anime that almost all of my B8 friends on MAL either dropped or didn't like very much! But I dunno, I thought it was fine. Not my favorite thing in the world but there weren't any major problems either. The anime's tone reminded me a bit of The Devil is a Part-Timer, since it was half goofy comedy and half supernatural action. I felt Part-Timer had some rather huge issues with shifting between those two tones though (fun comedy, now time for a rapist angel, right back to fun comedy...) and I didn't have that problem with Noragami. When it shifted into action and drama, it was a slow descent and it never felt forced. It also knew when to be serious and when it was time for jokes. I appreciated that. As for the setting and characters, those were both fine too. I liked Hiyori the best. --- **R.O.B.A.Z.O.I.D** ... Copied to Clipboard! |
