Nick_Saban 10/20/18 10:06:06 PM #1: | Right now I'm working in medical administration scheduling outpatient appointments. In the past two months, a couple of employees have left and there are some other responsibilities in this department outside of answering phone calls that they had previously done that became my responsibility. I'm okay with doing these jobs but they require me to not answer incoming calls and I've been doing it for alright for a while. Basically, I have to call people back that left messages after hours and I also have to call patients that were seen in the ER and set them up for tests the ER doctors order. Friday afternoon, my boss was mad that I was spending less time answering phone calls on average than others there that don't have these same ancillary responsibilities. Of course I cannot simultaneously make and outgoing phone call and take an incoming calls and that's a problem. However my boss that's getting on to me and one of my coworkers talking on the phone about whatever contest reality show is on TV for 30-45 minutes about twice a week is not a problem. But me not answering phone calls while doing a required function of my job is a problem. I hate the medical field and I really want to go do something else. Any suggestions? --- Fat people in small amounts of clothing always makes me giggle.-SvenGeorgeson Then you must have loads of fun looking in a mirror.-LegendaryElite ... Copied to Clipboard! |
