I mean Golden Modz has 173 million views on his videos since August 2015. If most of that is monetized and he is also selling modding devices he probably does earn a solid income.
Don't you need to make like, double that in your first year or something to be considered for monetization?
I don't know much about getting a career on Youtube, but as I understand it the criteria is ridiculous.
The threshold is vastly lower than 173 Million your first year. I think its monthly quota. Like 5000 subscribers(not new just at all) and 50K monthly views or something
That said a lot of tubers also have patreons or music/merchandise/etc, as additional or their main earnings.
Then what's stopping EVERYONE from just having a Youtube channel?
