it indicates that she applied as a white woman (also corroborated by the folks at penn that hired her).

similar story for harvard. applied as white so as to not take advantage from her personally assumed native american status, then updated status to native american because, in her words, "I was hoping I'd get invited to a lunch or something."

the story is "lonely white professional woman wants to make friends"


Honestly, I think some people are just really into culture.I see people take those DNA tests all the time, and get super excited about them. Maybe even visit.

I know some Vietnamese people who are always saying they have a French ancestor somewhere. It's harmless.
