SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) -- After Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren released her DNA test results Monday, Sen. Orrin Hatch did the same.
Hatch, 84, tweeted, "DNA Test Results 1/1032 T-Rex. The rest: other dinosaurs."
According to the findings, Hatch could have the same percentage T-Rex as Warren might be Native American.
Warren has received backlash from President Trump, and many others, for claiming she has Native American ancestry. The president called her "Pocahontas."
The Massachusetts Democrat released the DNA results to prove her claim.
The analysis was done by Stanford University professor Carlos D. Bustamante. He concluded Warren's ancestry is mostly European but says "the results strongly support the existence of an unadmixed Native American ancestor." The Boston Globe reported that Warren is somewhere between 1/64 and 1/1024 Native American.
However, Hatch's tweet was not well received by some.
Sam Stein with MSNBC tweeted, "When they speak of how the old senate had more civility, recognize that Hatch has been there for centuries and does stuff like this."
