I've always called them "Nendroids". never realized there was an extra "Do" in there until I got this

but anyways, its Mei from Overwatch

I know theres fans of Nendodroids here because everytime Funko pops come up, people come in and say OMG U SHUD BUY NENDODROIDS INSTEAD LIEK DEY SO MUCH BETTER

as if paying an extra 50 bucks for casual toy collecting is better

BUT WITH THAT SAID, I will say that the attention to detail IS pretty mind boggling. With so many parts, this actually feels like a model kit. You can set up so many scenarios with what they provide

with Mei alone, she has a few sets of hands, you can have her hold the gun, do her in-game heroic pose, or make a happy pose since she has a pair of hands that are basically "Jazz hands"

Snowball can sit in the backpack, or they provide a stand so he can be floating next to Mei, OR you can actually have him doing the Blizzard ult.

They provide a spray of "frost" which is either what holds up Snowball for the Blizzard Ult, Or it can connect to her Gun and she can be attacking!

my only peeve with all of this is that the instructions suck, and the stands feel a little cheap

The instructions provide visual aids, but nothing too deep. Like, it says you can remove snowball from the backpack and put him on the N stand. But...then where does the N stand go? They have a universal platform with holes all in it where the stands connect to, but because the N stand is so thin and the ball on the bottom didn't immediately fit in the platform, I didn't think it went in there

but it does. Apparently you have to really force it in there, but like I said, because its so thin and cheap feeling, I didn't want to attempt that at first

there was another piece called the L piece, it goes into the main stand brace that holds Mei up, but again, it doesn't say what its for

I even resorted to looking up video reviews on youtube, and funny enough, the people didn't know what that piece was for either

in the comments of one of the videos I found out that the piece goes into the stand so it holds Mei up WITHOUT her backpack. her backpack is whats actually holding Mei up. So yea, it just goes to show you how much thought they put into this, I didn't even CONSIDER displaying her without the pack, but I guess some people would want to do that

but ...they never mention that >_>

I found out so its moot but what a way to go

I do like the toy, but its not worth 60 bucks

I got this thing on Clearance, with my discount, and with a coupon and it came out to the same price as a Funko Pop

Funko Pops are cheap, come in a huge variety, and make easy gifts as theres one out there for everyone

I don't believe Nendodroids is the better substitute, but at the same time, they shouldn't even be comparable. They're for two different audiences. The only thing they have in common is that they're toys

Rant over

I'll provide a picture in a bit
