You know what dishonors the American the flag? The Confederate flag. His base does not hold those beliefs. Keep in mind that Trump has a diverse group of people backing him. A tiny minority of that group might hold racist views, but you will find people like that on both sides. We don't want anyone kneeling during the anthem since it does disrespect reasonable members of the military along with our flag.
