Your gun does you no good in a case. 10 years ago I used to carry a handgun without a round in the chamber and just a loaded magazine, and a police officer disarmed me (traffic stop, normally they don't disarm me but this time there was like 6 people in the car and they were searching the car), and when he returned the gun to me he said "Don't ever carry a gun without a bullet in the fucking chamber again. Do you think you have time to put on a seat belt on before a car wreck?" That stuck with me and now having worked with self-defense classes and things like that, I'm just going to say.. unless that gun is for target shooting or hunting, it is fucking useless if it is out of reach when you are home. When someone breaks in to your house with a gun and is ready to kill you and your loved ones, do you think you can tell them "Hold on, I have to get my gun out of the closet and unlock it"? This shit happens in a matter of seconds. SECONDS, not minutes.
