While true (and the reason that a wheat-free diet can be effective for managing mild diabetes), you should say that instead of saying something else that's just plain untrue.


What I said wasn't untrue. You're only focused on the bread (the starch) here, whereas the simple carbs I alluded to in my first post referred to the sugar that accompanies this dessert. And make no mistake, it's pretty much the sugar that makes people want this food.
