Lithgow is so excellent in the role, I can't imagine anyone would have any real complaints with the casting. And The Crown remains consistently high-quality throughout. It's also the rare Netflix role that actually values the idea of an episode. So many streaming series, aware of their binge nature, treat their series as 10-13 hour movies and episodes are simply how they divide writing and directing duties. Each episode of the Crown has a proper episode arc and tells a complete story.
