But it blows my mind that in a society that strongly praises people who adopt/rescue dogs, adopting a child is still looked down on/seen as the loser's way out. I have a ton of respect for anyone who would consider adopting a child over just making their own. One of my best friends has always wanted to adopt, even though she has a biological child.
