| Robazoid 09/21/18 3:10:18 PM #463: | I finished Harukana Receive, and I thought it was good! They portrayed beach volleyball in a way that made it exciting to follow along with, especially all the special moves and intricacies of the sport, and all of the characters were a whole lot of fun (Haruka and Claire were the best). There were some great comedy bits, but they never detracted from the characterization or plot. It was also especially enjoyable compared to the... other sports anime from this season. In Harukana Receive, the characters were able to enjoy playing the sport together instead of hating each other and everything about it. It didn't reach the fun heights of something like Scorching Ping Pong Girls, but it was still great and the ending left me both satisfied and hoping for another season.
