The second law of thermodynamics states that the entropy of the universe is always increasing. At the heat death of the universe, the entire universe will be in equilibrium. If atoms have different levels of energy, then for the universe to be at equilibrium, everything must be hydrogen. Therefore, all elements are radioactive, given enough time. Now take it a step further, inside the atom there is the charged nucleus and electron cloud. The imbalance of charges causes motion and therefore energy. To be at the heat death of the universe, there can be no capacity for change, so no charges can exist. Following this logic it can be assumed that protons and electrons will eventually lose their charges and become neutral. This would cause the nucleus to be broken up and allow for true equal distribution of mass, and the theory of the heat death of the universe to be accurate.
