There's a good chance both of them will be under oath and if she lies, it's going to be brutal for her. If I were her, I'd start remember the details like date of the party and where it was.
The Dems really messed up on this one. They said they had this information for 6 weeks, but only to bring it up in the last minute. It reeks of desperation and political assassination. That's why many people don't believe them, because it was desperate. If they start talking about it 6 weeks ago instead of few days ago, they may have a bit more credibility.
Her lawyer won't respond until the last minute, because the goal is to delay the vote. Then it'll be a week or two of agreeing to terms, then a week to schedule, with a date picked for a month out, then a delay due to reasons, all resulting in the vote being pushed past midterms. Once they've achieved that, she can answer any questions without fear, because the damage will be done.
The senators are still not playing along. They're scheduling to vote on Wednesday, one day after the hearing.
They know how the game is played. They won't delay it unless something big comes up. ---
