That's actually kinda similar to Youjo Senki. In the manga they also go over the legend of the demonic little girl and the outcome of the war. The comments on that chapter was very interesting lol. Although one thing to be said here, the Axis power bias was definitely showing a bit, but I think it's often easy to forget the war is a representation of WWI, not WWII I think? That is to say, people initially sold me on this series as if the main character attempted to survive this new world by going as far as to help the likes of Hitler win. But it's not really Hitler's Germany being represented here.

Also the food thing reminds me of Mushoku Tensei side chapters lol. There's this girl whom her friends essentially magically freeze in time so that the world can develop enough technology and knowledge to bring her back to the past so she can reunite with her boyfriend. But small spoilers, she's also from Japan so Rudeus, who ages a few years every time he comes to visit her in her brief moments of being awake, periodically imitates food from Japan and brings it for her to taste. So most of the chapters are about her intimately describing the food while her friends are complaining to her about the current state of their lives now that years have passed since we've last seen them. It's pretty funny and doubles as a terrific epilogue where so much implied stuff happens
