To be fair, gamers in general are a pretty toxic community. It's toxin within toxin. :^) I'm not a big fan of VIII's story, myself, but I still find the game enjoyable, and boy I love Laguna! My problem is that the some of the community tend to not really take in the story, and actually try to figure it out. Most times I just see the most shallow of opinions "like the game is garbage or whatever" and it certainly isn't unique to FF8, but most games that even tried to tell a long story. Even some YOUTUBE personality can basically give you a breakdown of the FF8 story, and assuming he is not a memelord douche. I'm afraid they're just going to do the same thing for FF7 Remake, and pretty much ruin everything because of how petty they can get. --- It's not stupidity, it's something much worse.
