There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, and nothing wrong with teacher student relationships.

But it would be perfectly fine if it was a female teacher and a male student? Double standard much?

What he is saying is that if a male teacher impregnates a female student that that is worse, but a female teacher seducing a male student is bad as well. However, the blame would solely fall on the teacher in both cases. They are the adults, no matter how much a student "wants it" you should still as the adult say "no".
Don't think that because we say "I wish teachers like that existed when I was in school" we are somehow excusing the teacher from being a child rapist.
One can't be worse than the other, they both have to be equally bad or it is a double standard.
