He's actually really funny in a dirty old man way and is a pretty good guy But yeah he's a bit fucked in the head, he's also a chronic liar and would make up stories about how his life is so horrible, says shit like "Oh I was getting golf ball sized hail at my place, it tore up my roof and my car blah blah", presumably fishing for sympathy.
