Teachers have perks that add a lot of value so I'd probably say Police Officers should be paid more regardless of which one is more valuable to society or whatever.

Both are underpaid though.

What perks?

Safer work environment
Stable hours
Reliable holidays
3 months off

To name a few. Assuming you're qualified for both you'd be an absolute moron to be a police officer over a teacher unless you were paid more.

Safer than X how?

Stable hours is a silly thing to say given the majority of salaried jobs have stable hours.

Reliable holidays is actually forced holidays.
Salaried jobs have vacation time, but you can generally take it when you want.

And 2.5 months off is offset bg y working 50 hours a week, along with the hours you work during that time off.

Where I live teachers are only hated less than maybe politicians

"Working" 50 hours a week justifies your PAID 2.5 months vacation?

You want raises every year yet bring nothing more to the table?

Kid, if you want to talk specifics, you can PM me. If you want to be an edge lord though, you can continue to pretend that teaching isn't real work. I dont mind either way.
