Maybe I'm not in the fucking mood for this deflection. This is the very bad faith I'm talking about: making excuses for behavior rooted in racial stereotyping.

There are SO many other ways this artist could have gone with this representation. I'm sick of people excusing racial behavior because "we don't know what their intent was". We don't have to, and in the end, it won't matter. We can see the product. That will last far longer than any excuse.
