While walking home, I had a guy all for money, telling us he wanted to get something to eat, he hadn't eaten in days, he's starving, etc... I experienced something like that. I was leaving a 7-11 and there was a guy with a standard "Please help, hungry" sign, and for some reason I was feeling unusually generous, so I offered to buy him a spam musubi or something (this is Hawaii now, spam is popular and spam musubis are like a staple food lol).
