Spend all my money on video games and books, so I couldn't afford it even if I wanted. No disrespect to people who smoke. None taken. Weed > Alcohol in every way tho. I feel about the same towards alcohol. I had friends in college who liked to go drinking on the weekends and spend $50 doing it. Not my idea of a good time, but I'm sure they would have thought it boring to stay home and play a new video game all weekend too. I'm talking health risks. Weed has never put me in a hospital Why is it still illegal in some states?! Ah. True, weed does seem less dangerous than alcohol. Moral crusading. People like Keebler Elf Sessions are vehemently opposed to it because they see it as a failure of character. It's also deeply intertwined with systemic oppression of minorities (compare incarceration rates for weed possession between white people and almost any other race/ethnicity). Further tangled in that is the cash generated from fining and locking up people (who then are used as cheap slave labor for the state) for burning a harmless plant.
